Be Kind To Your Dog, and Your Dog Will Return The Favor

Building trust, understanding, and strong communication between owners and dogs.

My mission is to create the best possible relationship between dogs and their families. Yes I am a dog trainer but my goal is to make YOU your dog’s dog trainer!

My Training Philosophy

My training style focuses on building a dog’s confidence on the way to mastering new skills. Praise, treats, and toys are used to reward and reinforce good behaviors. I teach and promote force-free, punishment-free training methods using only safe and humane tools. Dogs and humans learn best when they are having FUN. I always want training to be FUN for both people and dogs otherwise neither we nor our dogs will have motivation to train! I will NEVER use, or condone the use of, any aversive/punitive tools or methods that will cause your dog fear or pain, such as shock collars, prong/pinch collars or choke chains. Aversive and intimidation methods are not only outdated and dangerous both physically and psychologically, but they have been scientifically disproven.

Dog training in the US is unfortunately an unregulated industry, which means there are no educational, professional, or legal requirements to call oneself a dog trainer or to run a dog training, or other dog related business. Anyone can do it. The responsibility sadly falls onto the consumer to be aware of the techniques and methods that a trainer may use. I am always completely honest and open about my methods and techniques and owners are always welcome to observe training taking place. I am always striving to keep up to date on new, effective, and kind training methods to better help dog owners and their dogs have the best lives possible.
